Plain-English summary. multipll provides commercial credit decision infrastructure. We process information about businesses (the “CFO” or “borrower” side) and information from banks (the “bank” or “lender” side). We collect what we need to operate the service, we do not sell personal information, and we do not share borrower data across banks. This page explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have.

1. Scope and definitions
This Privacy Policy describes how Multipll, Inc. (“multipll,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit our website, communicate with us, or use our platform. It applies to (a) website visitors, (b) borrower-side users (typically CFOs, controllers, or finance staff acting on behalf of a business), and (c) lender-side users (typically employees of a partner bank or financial institution).
It does not cover information that our partner banks collect directly from their own customers under their own privacy notices. When a partner bank uses multipll to evaluate a credit application, the bank remains the controller of its customer relationship and its own privacy obligations.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
- Account and contact information. Name, work email, phone number, employer, and role.
- Business financial information. Trial balances, financial statements, accounting-system data, and similar records that you or your business uploads or connects to the platform.
- Banking-relationship information. Bank-statement data, account numbers (where required for verification), and authorizations to access third-party financial systems on your behalf.
- Communications. Messages you send us, support requests, and survey responses.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Usage data. Pages visited, features used, timestamps, referring URL, and similar telemetry.
- Device and connection data. IP address, browser type, operating system, and approximate location derived from IP.
- Cookies and similar technologies. Used for session management, security, and basic analytics. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
2.3 Information from third parties
- Credit bureau data, retrieved with appropriate authorization to support a specific credit decision.
- Banking data aggregators (such as bank-statement or accounting-system connectors) where you have authorized us to retrieve information on your behalf.
- Public records, including business registry, lien, judgment, and similar filings.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate, maintain, and secure the multipll platform.
- Generate decision artifacts that help inform credit decisions.
- Improve our models against confirmed credit-decision outcomes from partner banks. Data is secured per institution and never shared across banks.
- Communicate with you about your account, the service, and changes to our policies.
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, security incidents, and policy violations.
- Comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests from regulators or courts.
We do not use borrower information to train general-purpose AI models. We apply AI thoughtfully and where it materially improves the work — never as a substitute for the judgment of the credit professionals using the platform.
4. How we share information
We share information only as described below:
- With the partner bank you are interacting with. When you submit a credit application through the platform, the relevant bank receives the application and the multipll-generated decision artifacts.
- With service providers that host our infrastructure, send transactional email, monitor our systems, and perform similar operational functions, under written contracts that restrict their use of the information.
- For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect our rights, the rights of our customers, or the public.
- In connection with a corporate transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case information may transfer to the successor entity subject to this policy or a successor with comparable protections.
What we do not do. We do not sell personal information. Data is secured per institution and never shared across banks. We do not use one bank’s data to make decisions for another bank’s borrowers.
5. Data retention
We retain information for as long as necessary to operate the service, comply with our legal obligations (including financial recordkeeping requirements), resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Records related to credit decisions may be retained longer to meet the partner bank’s contractual and regulatory obligations under applicable banking and lending laws.
6. Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Specifics are described in our Security page. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and to notify us promptly of any suspected compromise.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port the personal information we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, and other states with comprehensive privacy statutes have specific rights under those laws, which we will honor where applicable.
To exercise a right, contact us at admin@multipll.com. We may need to verify your identity before responding. We do not discriminate against users who exercise their privacy rights.
8. International transfers
multipll operates from the United States, and information we collect is processed and stored in the United States. If you access the platform from another jurisdiction, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection rules than your home jurisdiction.
9. Children
The platform is intended for business use. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the platform or by email to registered users.
